Lytle raises stock with performance @ WVU Jamfest
August 27 , 2008 - Congratulations to Pride's (Altoona H.S.) 6'5 forward Anthony Lytle for being selected to the Hoop Group All Tourney Team for his performance @ the West Virginia Jam Fest held in Morgantown, WV. Toney returns ranked in top 10 PG's for the class of 2014
August 15, 2008 - After three full days of competiting against 100 of the nations best at the National Adidas Jr. Phenom Event, hosted in San Diego, CA, Oshea Toney returns ranked 7th in the class of 2014 among point guards. The camp, which featured national recruiting services like Hoop Scoop, and SLAM, also featured lecture sessions in which coaches and teachers educated the campers on how to succeed in school and stay away from the troubles heading into high school.

Jennings joins Monmouth Staff
July 27, 2008 - Congratulations to 13U's Coach Anita Jennings, as she will begin her collegieate coaching career at Monmouth University in NJ (NEC, Division I). Jennings will join her former head coach Stephanie Gaitley as the Director of Basketball Operations.

14U Girls finish season strong @ Blue Chip's PSU Invitational
July 9, 2008 - Congratulations to our 14U Girls for their performance at one of the northeast's premier live period events. With over 300 teams & 200 college coaches in attendance the Pride 14's finished 5-1, their only loss coming from Philly Triple Threat who eventually went on to win the event. The team posted wins over MD Hurricanes, CT Bandits, Rockers, Triple Threat Dawson, & W. Fairfax Basketball Club.

Toney gets invite to Adidas Jr. Phenom Camp
June 8, 2008 - Congratulations to Oshea Toney as he will be heading to San Diego, CA in August to compete in the Adidas Jr. Phenom Camp. The camp highlights the TOP 100 Middle School students in each class (Girls: 2012, 2013, 2014 and Boys: 2013, 2014, 2015) from around the United States and also Internationally. More than 600 in all, will take to the hardwood in San Diego July 31, 2008 (Girls) and August 7, 2008 (Boys).

June 1, 2008 - Congratulations to both Paul Weatherly (Greater Johnstown) & Nick Novak (Franklin Regional), both being selected to the Hoop Group All Tourney Team for their performances @ the Southern Jam Fest. The combo lead our 17U team to a 5-2 record before falling to Squash All Beef in the Silver Division Championship Game.

Pride flexes muscle @ Drill 4 Skill Shootout
May 26, 2008 - Pride teams travel to Slippery Rock University winning a combined 19 of 23 games. Congratulations to the 11U Girls and 12U Boys, both winning their divisions and claim the program it's 3rd and 4th championships of the 2008 season. The 14U boys also had a strong showing winning all of their pool games and making it all the way to the finals before falling short of winning it all in the championship game against a talented Pittsburgh Storm team.
Special thanks to Coach Amanda Ottaway in her coaching debute leading the 11U girls to their 2nd championship of the season. Amanda will be attending Davidson College in North Carolina to play for the Lady Wildcats.

Strong showing for Pride 12U, 13U, & 14U boys in the Eastern Region of PA @ the Main Event
May 19, 2008 - Congratulations to our Pride Development Boys (12U, 13U, 14U) for their performance at the Main Event held in Scranton, PA. Collectively all three teams finished out the weekend with a record of 10-4. Both the 14U & 12U boys completed the weekend with 4-1 records, while the 13U boys posted their first victories finishing 2-2 for the weekend.

17's REPRESENT @ THE HOOP GROUP'S SOUTHERN JAM FEST IN CHARLOTTESVILLE.
May 11, 2008 - Congratulations to The Pride 17U Boys Team for their performance at the Hoop Group's Southern Jam Fest held on the University of Virginia's Campus May 9-11. The Pride 17U team finished 2nd in the Silver Division with wins over Team Jersey Elite, U-Turn (VA), JJ Hoops (NJ), NEBC (NY), & Richmond Timberwolves (VA) eventually falling to Squash All Beef (DC) in the Championship game.

BIG WEEKEND FOR PRIDE!!! PRIDE 11U & 14U GIRLS CLAIM
PROGRAM'S 1ST CHAMPIONSHIPS @ PITTSBURGH HOOPS CLASSIC.
April 20, 2008 - Pride teams travel to Pittsburgh with 4 teams winning their pools and two teams claiming program's first championships. The 14U girls team had impressive wins by beating PGH Hawks, Rise High, PA Storm, and a championship victory over Steel City. While the 12U girls posted wins over PA Storm, Wild Cats, and a championship victory over the WPA Bruins. Congrats to all of our Pride players, coaches, and parents/fans for their tremendous showing at the event!

PRIDE OFF TO PROMISING START
April 13, 2008 - PA Pride has arrived with 5 out of 7 teams winning their pools this weekend at the Solon Cage Classic in Ohio. Congratulations to both 12U & 14U Girls team's both with 2nd place finishes in their age divisions. In addition six of our girls were named to the All Tournament Selection Teams: Kayla Decriscio(14U), Lisa Mealing(14U), Courtney Luciano(14U), Lauren Pheasant(12U), Alexis Craig (12U), & Aubrea Phipps (12U).

POST GAZETTE FAB 5 HONORS FOR NOVAK
April 6, 2008 - The Pride's Nick Novak was named to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette Fab 5, and was the top vote getter in Section 1-AAAA this season. Novak, a 6'1 Junior at Franklin Regional High School (Murraysville, PA), finished in the top ten in scoring (21.1) in the WPIAL, with a season high of 38 points vs. Brashear High in playoff action.

SPORTS EVOLUTION
February 10, 2008 - Pride partners with Sports Evolution to offer Sports Performance training. The PA Pride has reached an agreement with Sports Evolution to integrate their training regime, including the Nike Sparq Training Program, into the program’s overall strategy to develop our student athletes. The professionals at Sports Evolution will be responsible for creating a comprehensive program for our players to enhance on-court performance in connection with the program’s scheduled practices.
