Strong showing for Pride at USJN's Hershey
National Showcase
June 30, 2009 - The Pride girls
continue to represent the program with strong performances @ USJN's
Hershey National Showcase. Pride 15U's went undeated in poll play
and advanced to the semi-finals before falling short in a physical
game vs. CAS Panthers (Harlem, NY), finishing with a record of 6-1.
The Pride 14U's also traveled to Hershey finishing with a record
of 4-1, with their only defeat coming from Hoop Magic who went on
to the tournament finals.
Both the Pride 14U & 15U's will travel to Blue
Chip's Penn State Invite on July 5-8, to compete in one of the countries
biggest live period events. Last year over 320 teams participated,
with over 500 college coaches in attendance. In last years event
our 15U girls went 5-1, before eventually falling to the tournament
champion Philly Triple Threat.

June 7, 2009 -
Congratulations to Coach Floyd and the 14U boys for their
performance @ Athletes for Better Education's Millersville tournament.
After losing their first game of the event the 14U's went undeated
the rest of the way to capture the event championship!!!

13U's capture
fourth title of the year @ Iron City Classic
May 30 , 2009 -
Congratulations to Coach Fleege and the 13U girls for winning
their fourth championship of the 2009 season @ the Iron City Classic
in Pittsburgh, PA. After losing in the finals of their first event
the team went on to finish their season 23-1, winning four out of
five events!!! Our 11U & 12U teams also participated in this
event, both posting strong performances before eventually being
defeated in the semi-finals.

@ GBA's Mountaineer Classic
May 10 , 2009 -
It was a banner weekend for the Pride at GBA's Moutaineer
Classic @ West Virginia University. The program brought home two
more championships, with both the 13U & 15U teams finishing
undefeated with a combined record of 10-0. In addition, the 14U
girls finished second with a record of 4-1, coming up short in the
finals 43-35 vs. the Hot Hoops.

April 12 , 2009 -
Congratulations to the 13U girls for winning their second
championship of the 2009 season @ the Solon Cage Classic in Ohio.
The team finished 5-0, with the final victory over the NEO Blitz
56-49 claiming the tournament championship. See team roster pages

Pride take two of three divisions
at Blue Thunder's Hoop Start
April 5 , 2009 -
Congratulations to both the 11U & 13U girls for their
performances @ PA Blue Thunder's Hoop Start tournament, both
winning their divisions and claiming the program 1st championships
of the 2009 season. The two teams had a combined record of
8-0 with the average margin of victory +29 per game!!! See team

Pride Announce 2009 Schedule
February 8, 2009 -The Pride are
pleased to announce the 2009 season schedule, as the program gets
set to begin their second season. The Pride will consist of twelve
teams (6 Boys, 6 Girls) with student athletes from all over the
state of Pennsylvania. The program also will host its first Annual
Summer Slam tournament sponsored by Sheetz, with 72 teams participating
this June 13-14. Click

Pride Announce 2009 Tryout
Dates
November 24 , 2008 - The
PA Pride boy's and girl's basketball program have announced their
open tryout dates for the 2009 season. Tryouts will be conducted
by the Pride Coaching Staff, and are set to begin February 21 through
March 8. The tryouts will be held at the Summit Tennis & Athletic
Club in Altoona, PA. If you believe you have what it takes, don’t

Jennnings returns as Monmouth
prepares to take on St. Francis
January 29 , 2009 - Former Pride
coach Anita Jennings returns to central PA as Monmouth prepares
to take on NEC opponent St. Francis Monday night @ the Stokes Building
in Loretto. Currently, Monmouth has a record of 5-5 in the NEC conference,
and a overall record of 10-10, while St. Francis stands at 5-4 in
the NEC, and 7-13 overall. Click

Novak, Bellovich among nations
best
December 28 , 2008 - Seniors Corey
Bellovich (Keystone Oaks) & Nick Novak (Franklin Regional) make
top 30 list for nations leading scorers. Nick Novak currently listed
as the 5th leading scorer in the country is averaging 34 points
per game shooting 71% from the floor. While Corey Bellovich is averaging
a 29 points (ranked 30) and 13 rebounds per game. Click
